Parallel cultivation system with individual parameter control

The Medicel Cultivation Unit combines the controllable conditions of bioreactors with the multiplicity of shake flasks. Cultivation Unit consists of 15 cultivation vessels with multiple gas and liquid control modules. Each of the fifteen vessels has individual control of agitation, temperature, aeration, pH, DO and feed. Cultivation vessels have a volume of 100 - 500 ml.

Each reactor can be equipped with various modules to measure and control the cultivation.

Temperature, agitation, pH and dissolved oxygen can be measured and controlled individually for each vessel. The flow rate of feed can be adjusted to each vessel individually and the liquid pulse module enables the addition of liquid pulses to the vessels. The aeration to each cultivation vessel is controled by mass flow controller. Four additional gases can be mixed in the aeration flow with advanced gas control modules. Different environmental profiles, control parameters and measurement sequences can be set through one software application.
