Today, more than five million products leave our production facility annually, which was newly built in 2016 in Altenrhein at the Swiss shore of Lake Constance.

Our focus to accelerate future growth is threefold; expand our existing market position, access additional and adjacent fields of Ophthalmology with new innovation and bring our innovative technology to other medical device fields.

The Opportunity

To accelerate our growth trajectory and drive access to new sectors and markets, we are hiring a M&A and Strategic Partnership Manager.

Your tasks

M&A and Strategic Partnership Manager has full responsibility in driving exponential growth generation through new product, technology, and business acquisitions (M&A or bolt-on), in addition to business collaborations and partnerships in Ophthalmology and adjacent Medical Technology markets. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing strategy for acquisitions and partnerships
  • Laser-sharp focus on acquiring new businesses (M&A) and partnerships
  • Assessing prospective acquisitions (M&A) and commercial partnerships, including detailed financial modelling and due diligence activities
  • Conducting market research of emerging market trends, innovation, technologies and future state of ophthalmic and adjacent therapies and solutions
  • Evaluation of outstanding growth opportunities in new markets and market segments
  • Work closely with the Department Vice Presidents to rapidly identify, evaluate and qualify strategic growth opportunities
  • Developing market and business models
  • Developing a deep, broad, and present knowledge of Medicel’s market segments and its competitive landscape as well as of adjacent medical technology markets
  • Evaluating and engaging with prospective targets
  • Engage with customers and end users (physicians) to get insight on, and evaluate opportunities
  • Initiate and cultivate relationships with market participants, key opinion leaders and prospective targets to create a robust pipeline of M&A, new product and licensing opportunities
  • Partnering with the Halma Sector M&A Director
  • Support the Medicel AG board in leading negotiations with external partners, acquisition targets, and bankers
  • Exceptional collaboration with Strategic Marketing
  • Strong business partner with the Medicel AG RnD and Operating Team

Experience

  • University Degree
  • MBA or BA preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in equity research, M&A, licensing and merger integration, healthcare consulting or investment banking
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in MedTech, Pharma, life sciences or Biotech in a leading strategic role
  • Ophthalmology experience preferred
  • Exceptional experience and proven track record in business development, specifically in uncovering new business and market opportunities through M&A
  • Outstanding track record in exponential growth generation through M&A, bolt-on or partnerships
  • Very strong quantitative and analytical skills, global market knowledge, negotiation skills, problem solving skills and project management skills

  • Strategic mindset with ability to seamlessly alternate between strategic and tactical roles
  • Highly customer focused with a track record of working closely with customers. Agile networker that builds and maintains strong relationships.  Strong communicator.
  • Strong commercial background preferably in a commercial / sales role
  • Extensive experience in Strategic Marketing processes and proven track record in partnering with Strategic Marketing
  • Advanced technical knowledge in MedTech innovation
  • Expert knowledge in business and marketing strategy

Ihre Aufgaben:

  • Einrichten und Bedienen von CNC-gesteuerten Langdrehautomaten (Citizen)
  • Erstellen und Optimieren von CNC-Programmen
  • Fertigen qualitativ hochstehender Drehteile für die Augenchirurgie
  • Visuelle und massliche Inspektion der produzierten Drehteile
  • Produktionsfreigaben vor QS
  • Durchführen von periodischen Wartungen an den Langdrehautomaten

 

Ihr Profil:

  • Abgeschlossene Berufsausbildung als Polymechaniker/in (Zerspanungsmechaniker/in)
  • Erfahrung bei der Programmierung von Mitsubishi Steuerungen (ISO-Code)
  • Erfahrung beim Einrichten von CNC-Drehmaschinen
  • Idealerweise mehrjährige Erfahrung im Bereich CNC-Langdrehen
  • Selbstständigkeit
  • Sehr gute Deutschkenntnisse
  • Gute Kenntnisse von MS Office
  • Eigeninitiative, Verantwortungsbewusstsein und eine zielgerichtete, strukturierte Arbeitsweise runden Ihr Profil ab
